When I moved to the enchanting area of Creemore, I was immediately struck by the vibrant community and the incredible array of unique country properties. Meeting fascinating people, both buyers and sellers, who share a passion for these distinctive homes inspired me to start this blog. Valerie Smith, Licensed Sales Representative, Sotheby’s Realty International Canada

Valerie Smith is a licensed sales representative with Sotheby’s Realty International Canada, bringing global experience to local markets. After spending years living overseas in Australia, Japan, and South Korea, Valerie completed a Master of Arts in Education at University of Toronto. Valerie applied her passions to a successful career in international development and public health, focusing on young women and HIV/AIDS in Central and South America, followed by projects in East Africa. 

With the birth of her daughter, Valerie returned to Toronto and started in her role as Director of Programs at a national injury prevention charity, Parachute Canada. Through her work in the charitable sectors of health and education, both in Canada as well as internationally, Valerie has developed a keen eye and unique perspective, bringing a refreshing approach and an extensive network to her real estate career. Valerie now lives near Creemore, Ontario with her 14-year-old daughter and is passionate about helping people create a dream life in the country. In her free time, Valerie eagerly explores the countryside, hiking to the most enviable spots. As a horsewoman with a long and accomplished history of showjumping at the elite level, Valerie also still finds time to spend riding in the country. She is proud to be a member of the Sotheby’s International Realty Canada team – impressive and knowledgeable agents who have been providing real estate services to clients for over 30 years.
